| Here are two of our volunteers attaching our pit wall to the concrete piers buried in the ground. The ties are 1" rebar, grade 60, two per upright. The piers are 24" diameter x 48" deep reinforced concrete. Buried in the hard clay of Indiana, they really provide some holding power! |
